You hear it all the time, drink more water, drink more water. It’s become something that goes in one ear and out the other because of it’s overuse. Well, I am going to say it again… DRINK MORE WATER.

Here is the thing about water, you need more than you think.

Water isn’t simply needed to help release toxins, it also lubricate the joints, protect the spinal cord and other sensitive tissues, regulates body temperature and assists in digestion. All very important stuff.

Here are some simple ideas to consume more water and how water can benefit you:

A lot of people confuse thirst for hunger. You may be consuming an afternoon snack when you body is actually thirsty. Try drinking a full glass of water when you think you’re hungry, and waiting 20 minutes. You will know if you were simply thirsty.

Add notches on your water bottle with the time of days on it. You can use this to gauge if you’ve consumed enough throughout the day. You can make your own water bottle, or purchase one on Amazon or Etsy.

Each time you sit down for a meal drink a full glass of water. Drinking water while eating can dilute our gastric juices and should be avoided, but having a full glass before each meal guarantees that you’re getting more water and helps you gauge your hunger and avoid over eating.

Eat your water! When you need to hydrate more, here are some veggies that can help:
Cucumbers
Iceburg lettuce
Celery
Tomatoes
Green Peppers
Cauliflower
