These are a quick, easy and healthy treat.  They provide protein from both the almond/ peanut butter and the JP+ Complete powder.  The maple syrup adds natural sweetness, and  also contains 54 anti-oxidants and boasts anti-inflammatory qualities. The walnuts are a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids, which are vital for heart and brain health.  This particular protein powder is a plant-based, non-GMO, gluten free powder.  It is also an excellent source of fiber.    The BEST part: they taste good!

 

Protein Energy Balls

  • ½ cup of Juice Plus Chocolate Complete (Protein powder- go to SHOP tab on home page to purchase)
  • ½ cup raw Almond butter (or peanut)  
  • ½ cup natural rice krispies
  • ½ cup pure maple brown syrup 
  • ¼ cup chopped nuts

Roll into balls and then roll in grated coconut or ground flax seeds. Refrigerate.

Makes about 40 balls- 75-100 calories depending on the size.
